  • Water your orchids early in the day so it can be dry by night.
  • Water once a week during the winter and twice a week when the weather is warmer and dry.
  • Typically, a 6-inch pot needs water every 7 days and a 4-inch pot need water every 5 to 6 days.
  • Avoid wetting the leaves.
  • Use a piece of tissue or a cotton to dry water if it is trapped between the leaves.
  • After watering, let the water run away and do not allow residual water to come in contact with the base of the orchid pot.
  • The temperature of the water is also important. Try to use water with the temperature ambient. Too cold water can damage your plant.
  • Yellow leaves means you are over watering your plant. So discontinue watering for a few weeks.
